Principal Architect

ICE Arch Ltd is headed by Alison Taylor-Stokes, who has a wealth of experience in residential, business and community projects. Alison studied in Plymouth, Liverpool and Seattle and qualified as an Architect in 1998. She worked in a Wilmslow-based practice until setting up her own practice in 2009.  She regularly updates her knowledge and skills with continuing professional development organised by the RIBA and other bodies.

Alison’s philosophy is embedded in the company’s name – ICE (Imagine, Create, Enjoy). She and her team excel in imagining the possibilities and producing exciting and sustainable designs, then creating a property that the client can enjoy and benefit-from.

The Team

At the start of a project, ICE Arch assembles a team of competent professionals with proven track records.  According to the nature and scale of the project, this may include a project administrator, technicians, structural engineeer, quantity surveyor, landscape architect, interior designer, planning consultant, etc.

The Support Network

ICE Arch Ltd is a member of a Small Practice Group – a group of sole-practitioner architectural practices established for mutual support and experience sharing.  Through a business-for-business network, ICE Arch Ltd has access to a range of professional expertise – finance, legal, creative, technology.

The ICE Arch Virtual Organisation

ICE Arch adopts the increasingly popular virtual organisation approach to business.  Hence it provides the personal and flexible service to its clients that is the hallmark of a small practice, but at the same time has ready access to the resources, synergy and range of expertise that traditionally would only be found in a large company.
